This blog generally focuses on food, but this post is going to be a bit different. Yes there was food at this very small farmer’s market, but not a whole lot. What I was more impressed with was the artwork that was there. Artwork in the form of fashion. Jewelers, boutique owners, and merchandisers were all present and left me speechless with their collections. Everything was full of color and you could see the love that was crafted into all of it. If this were any other farmer’s market I probably wouldn’t think anything of it, however, this was in Winthrop, my home for the last 2 years. That made all the difference. It finally put into perspective what being a small business really means: passion. You could see it flowing out of each piece that was present. It’s hard to say these pieces aren’t inspiring. Just taking these photos allowed me to see a different perspective of what it takes to be passionate and creative and loving what you do, while making customers happy and connected to each of the items.

The first boutique I visited is called Little Lemon Boutique, which is owned by a very lovely woman named Rosa Taormina. The entire time I was talking to her and taking photos, she was sitting at her stand making an all original headband, most likely to be sold that day. All of her work is incredibly colorful and playful guaranteed to make that special little girl in your life very happy. You can check out more of her stuff as well as make a couple of purchases at http://www.LittleLemonBoutique.com. Photos below ↓↓

The next stand I went to, I was greeted by another lovely lady named Jess Apel. She’s a merchandiser representing the jewelry company, Chloe + Isabel. Needless to say, I wanted to buy everything (however, my wallet would not have been happy with me). There were striking turquoise beads and a very chic table display. It was hard not to buy anything, not to mention 10% of the proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society in memory of her grandmother. To see more of her jewelry and accessories, they are available at http://www.candibyjess.com. Photos below ↓↓

Jangles was another one I checked out. This time colors exploded before me and everything looked like candy. Everything was so different, but fit so well together. This store is owned by a very sweet man named Michael Bacon. Bonus: he does commissions. If you are looking for something fun, incredibly unique, and will be sure to grab everyone’s attention, this store is one of a kind and had a crazy awesome display set up to prove it. Check out more of the jewelry and buy one for yourself at http://www.janglesjewelry.biz. Photos below ↓↓

I’m going to leave you with one more for this post as I’m sure your brain is overloading with colors. La Petite Boutique is another fabulous one. It has clothes, accessories, jewelry, and vintage (which deserves its own category). The table was flooded with sparkles, color, and just all around beautiful things. It’s obvious that they are fashion connoisseurs because they had a bundle of goodies and at an incredibly fair price! If you are a creative and have any hand-made items that you want to sell (clothing or accessories), do it here! Visit their website at http://www.LaPetiteBoutique.us. Photos below ↓↓
