What you need:
2 personal pizza crusts, pre-made (I used Boboli)
3 strips of bacon of your preference, diced
2 handfuls of brussel sprouts (small or large, cut into halves or quartered)
8 oz. low fat ricotta cheese
salt and pepper to taste
How to:
1. Preheat oven to temperature directed on pizza crust package.
2. In a saute pan, cook diced bacon until almost crispy. Add brussel sprouts to pan with bacon. While the brussel sprouts are cooking, spread half of the ricotta cheese on each pizza, or until the crust is covered in a pretty thick layer of cheese.
3. Evenly divide cooked brussel sprouts and bacon onto each pizza. Place in the oven for the time directed on package, it shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes unless you are using fresh/raw dough.
4. Take out of the oven, add your preferred pizza topping (mine is crushed red pepper), salt and pepper, and enjoy!
You might want to eat both of these, but this is best enjoyed with a friend! This might be the easiest and tastiest pizza you will ever make at home. This is a great treat for when you have people coming over not only because of the bacon, but because it will show that you’re creative in the kitchen and no cheese or pepperoni pizza will stand a chance next to this one.
There’s very little in my world that a foot massage and a thin-crust, everything-on-it pizza won’t set right.
